So nice to see something hand made! This is like the toboggans we used in Alaska when I was a kid in the late 1950’s. Except ours were more rustic. The toboggans and snowshoes were works of art. Also, things the Eskimo made were also beautiful works of art, like their mukluks, blankets, parkas, etc.

You are welcome. I would look for vintage examples. I remember the annual Fur Rendezvous in Anchorage in the 1950’s. The wooden sleds made from tree branches. The clothing, the hide blankets, etc that they made, etc. 🙂
Sounds very interesting. I’m guessing that the history and current level of craftmanship in the USA, including Alaska, may be little known in other countries. Thanks again Mintbees
